With David Coulthard retiring from Formula 1 at the end of this season, the UK needs another chisel jawed daredevil to challenge other countries and manufacturers for tenth place in every Grand Prix. How hard can it be? Round and round a track, champagne celebration and then playboy lifestyle for 10 months of the year (but “only” for five days a week for the other two months, when you’re “working”).
The main stumbling block to all of us budding race drivers is the vehicle – the skills, fearless attitude and willingness to be paid obscene amounts of money are all there, but the car is way out of reach….or is it?
Flogit4u are selling a Formular 1 car, yes, a bona fide car that was once thrown around a track at breakneck speeds by Jarno Trulli when he raced with Jordan Honda. All you have to do is click HERE and following the bidding instructions and in less than a week you will be one step closer to a boyhood dream.
The British press has already picked up on this amazing auction – click here to see the latest article on the UK’s most popular online auction site!
Maybe you have no interest in becoming a worldwide superstar, but would just like the car to drive around in. Perhaps you’re bored of paying for parking spaces in the city centre and would rather drive under the barrier. Maybe you’d like to out-accelerate a boy racer at the lights and cruise off down the street in smug satisfaction.Personally, I’d like screech to a halt on the Kwik-Fit forecourt and see how long it takes them to change the tyres.
Happy Bidding!!!!

Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Blumarine are on the tip of everyone’s lips this week with the release of the hotly anticipated Sex and the City film.
Sickeningly, the girls seem to spend the majority of the time in bars sipping Cosmopolitans with the spoils of a heavy day shopping scattered around their table. Unfortunately, the majority of us don’t have the expendable income of the girls to feed our lavish shoe and bag habits and need to find alternative means to get top designer labels for less….And I don’t mean getting Mr Big to buy them for you.
Check out these Jimmy Choo sandals on eBay at the moment with four days to go – Probably not the most comfortable pair of shoes for trawling around shops in, but paired with your LBD for an evening sipping Cosmos in Sushi Samba 7 they would be absolutely perfect.
Carrie would be falling over her Blahnik’s to get her hands on this totally cute Alice McCall dress. With oversized buttons and pretty, floaty shape it’s ideal for a hot summer in the city.
Now, this may be a controversial choice, but going by the old adage that “one good turn deserves another”, why not fork out for a little gift for your other half like this stunning Technomarine watch and reap the benefits next time you drop subtle hints about that pair of adorable heels that are just out of your price range…
Finally, if things go well with your Mr Big then you may be hunting around for a wedding dress. Shop for your perfect designer gown – and bridesmaid dresses – at flogit4u.com. If you prefer popping corks to popping the question this wine fridge would be right up your street – with space for 150 bottles is there any reason for you and the girls to leave the house?

eBay delivered another blow to bricks-and-mortar auction houses this week when it was announced that paintings by Damien Hirst were to be sold online by the charity, War Child, set up in 1993 to help children affected by conflict.
The pieces were created by Hirst for the very purpose of bankrolling War Child if it encountered any financial strife. The charity is now facing a deficit and the directors have taken the decision to sell the pieces on eBay.
Some art commentators have been taken aback by the decision to sell works by respected artists online, especially since the same charity sold another piece by Hirst online last year for £4500 and a few months later sold a similar piece in an Italian auction house for £20,000. Making art available to a wider audience seems insignificant if there’s a £15,000 drop involved.
If an independent auction room in Italy can command that kind of sales, why isn’t the charity turning to Sotheby's or Christies to help them raise the money? After all, London is the home of Hirst, it’s rich in Hedge Fund bankers keen to bolster their collections with good art that holds its price and wont be affected by an economic downturn.
The difference in commission rates could be one reason for the charity turning their back on the auction houses. It seems that the rates – even the special charity commission rates offered by Sotheby's and Christies – pale compared to the low percentage that eBay will take for a charity auction. We won’t even get into the percentage that is lumped onto the sale price that the buyers have to pay…25% in the case of Sotheby's.
Some argue that the marketing expertise flouted by the large auction houses would attract far more buyers than eBay could ever muster and that a dedicated team could have the most important collectors rushing for their Oyster card just by mentioning “Brit Art”. But they forget about the massive amount of forums, blogs and chat rooms dedicated to eBay; an army of marketers working for free.
It could be that War Child want to open up the art market to everyone, stop the rich from snapping up all of these one-off pieces in dusty, exclusive auction houses and give the global public the opportunity to own a piece of modern fine art. Personally, I think they may have seen the piece by Banksy sold on eBay a few months ago for over £200,000….
Sometimes auctions speak louder than words.

Flogit4u’s trusty dispatch manager, Andrew, is leaving after two years of loyal service in which he has sent items of different shapes and sizes all over the world.
The Flogit4u office has always been impressed with his innovative attitude towards packing problems, managing to find a container to fit even the most non-receptive of objects. As well as amassing a healthy collection of packaging, tape and envelopes, Andy is a firm believer – nay inventor – of the “thinking inside the box” theory.
Thankfully, Andy has passed on all of his skills, knowledge and stash of different boxes and envelopes to Liping, who has fitted firmly into his shoes as Flogit4u’s new dispatch manager.
Welcome to Liping, cheerio to Andrew and good luck to both…

Congratulations to founder and MD of Flogit4u, Phill Davies, and his wife, Samantha, on the birth of their first child.
Their little boy was born yesterday evening at a very healthy 8lb 11oz!
Let’s hope it’s the first of many!

As auction experts it is part of our job to scour eBay looking for some weird and wonderful items for sale…all in the name of research! We recently collated our efforts and tried to whittle it down to just one bizarre item; a near impossible task, but great fun.
I’m going to start with my favourite because I’m writing the blog and it deserves to be shared. Found by Andy from our dispatch department, this item is something that every potato/rock fan should have in their collection.
Sadly, the majority of Alex’s suggestions were too controversial/illegal – but very, very funny - to mention on a family site. However, this one was just bordering on the right side of wrong and I’ve already started working on it for next Valentines Day.
Staying with hair for a moment, Wendy – who seems to have some kind of knack for finding crazy items online – astounded us with this, erm, piece….Again, Wendy found many, many items that we can’t mention on Flogit4u, but I reckon we’ll probably get away with a link to this item that’s big, fun and makes girls scream…
My effort was a bit lame compared to the others, but it wasn’t so much the item itself that tickled me, but the way in which the seller came to find it. Check it out here and see if it’s something that you would like…
Feel free to send in your suggestions of weird and wonderful items that you have found on eBay. Strangest suggestion – judged by the Flogit4u Team – wins a prize…

Summer is just around the corner, warm days are gradually nudging their colder counterparts out of the way and sleeveless garments are squeezing to the front of the wardrobe past fleeces and leather coatsThe Flogit4u shop is filling up with pieces of summer fashion; vests, t-shirts and shorts are battling jackets, snowboards and woolly jumpers for space in our clothing department.
The Flogit4u office is getting warmer and only the odd downpour of rain is stopping us from bringing in the air conditioning unit and setting up an ice cream account with the shop across the road. If you have any items that you are looking to sell before the summer to help save up for your summer holidays, get in touch with your local online auction experts, Flogit4u.
And remember – Stay Cool!!!
