Autumn Blog

Dear FlogBlog Followers, Less blogs over the last month is good news for all you bargain hunters  - The Flogit4u offices have been busy, busy, busy. Typing snappy, hilarious messages to our legions of followers has taken a back seat to photographing, listing and chatting to our constantly delighted customers. Also, with winter coming and Christmas around the corner it’s only going to get busier…How do we know that winter is coming:

  • Our air conditioning unit was wheeled back into hibernation last week and the heaters are slowly creeping back into every corner of the office.

  • In comes the smell of chunky vegetable soup wafting from the kitchen... out goes odourless lettuce.

It's certainly not the weather to be going for walks over lunch time or sitting on the step having lunch, so why not browse around Flogit4u.com instead? We're now selling even more household goods from some of the High Streets biggest names for a fraction of their usual price, with everything from lamps to plasma TVs being auctioned off at 99p... The Flogit4u Newsletter is offering 25% off postage costs to all subscribers for the coming week - a fantastic deal that is exclusive to our Newsletter subscribers. What do you get from the newsletter? A link to all our special 99p auctions before anybody else, entertaining information about deals of the week and, of course, 25% off vouchers! Finally, like so much Manchester United fans around the world, we've jumped on one of the biggest bandwagons of recent years and are now Twittering away daily from the office. If the Blog AND the Newsletter isn't enough for you, search out Flogit4u on Twitter, start following us and prepare to be entertained and indulged every time...unlike Man United fans.  Love,  The Flog Blogger

Summer

The Flogit4u office is an icy cool oasis in the unrelenting heat of the summer; we are a sweat patch free zone, absent of sticky T-shirts and devoid of mopped brows. Why? Because we are an efficient machine in total control of any situation at all times….and we also have an air conditioning unit.  Before we pulled out this marvellous machine from its hibernation, the Flogit4u Headquarters were a dry, humid land, the wind from a 1000 fans gently killing the planet and blowing paper around like a giant Crystal Dome. Don’t make the same mistakes as us. Buy some Air Con now – preferably by clicking here:  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=400061577246&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

Wheel it into your room, turn it on and marvel at the cool air it spews out.

What we’ve been doing in the office (lately – ish)

Going to Portland

Going to a Wedding

Working with motorbikes

Going to Greece

Praying John Terry doesn’t Leave Chelsea

Trying marmite for the first time (hates it)

Remembering computer games of yesteryear

Goodbye's and Hello's

Flogit4u’s trusty dispatch manager, Andrew, is leaving after two years of loyal service in which he has sent items of different shapes and sizes all over the world.

The Flogit4u office has always been impressed with his innovative attitude towards packing problems, managing to find a container to fit even the most non-receptive of objects. As well as amassing  a healthy collection of packaging, tape and envelopes, Andy is a firm believer – nay inventor – of the “thinking inside the box” theory.

Thankfully, Andy has passed on all of his skills, knowledge and stash of different boxes and envelopes to Liping, who has fitted firmly into his shoes as Flogit4u’s new dispatch manager.

Welcome to Liping, cheerio to Andrew and good luck to both…

Baby Joy

Congratulations to founder and MD of Flogit4u, Phill Davies, and his wife, Samantha, on the birth of their first child.

Their little boy was born yesterday evening at a very healthy 8lb 11oz!

Let’s hope it’s the first of many!

Summer's Here

Summer is just around the corner, warm days are gradually nudging their colder counterparts out of the way and sleeveless garments are squeezing to the front of the wardrobe past fleeces and leather coatsThe Flogit4u shop is filling up with pieces of summer fashion; vests, t-shirts and shorts are battling jackets, snowboards and woolly jumpers for space in our clothing department.

The Flogit4u office is getting warmer and only the odd downpour of rain is stopping us from bringing in the air conditioning unit and setting up an ice cream account with the shop across the road. If you have any items that you are looking to sell before the summer to help save up for your summer holidays, get in touch with your local online auction experts, Flogit4u.

And remember – Stay Cool!!!

Goodbye Wacket

A big cheerio from all of the Flogit4u team to Mr Peter Wacket, who had been the backbone - or at least a main vertebrae - of the Flogit4u Weekend Team for the last eight months. We wish him luck in his exams and hope he enjoys going to every single festival in the whole world this summer....Keep tabs on how the Flogit4u job hunt to find a suitable replacement goes! Watch this space.

Taxi Advertising

Expect to see the Flogit4u sign all over Central London over the coming months as our taxi advertising campaign comes into effect.

Watch out for the familiar Flogit4u livery on the side of the traditional black cabs.If you're luck enough to tale a ride in one of the Flogit4u taxis perhaps you could take a minute to think how London's leading eBay shop can help sell some of your unwanted items. You could even give us a call from the back of the cab and speak to one of our qualified eBay professionals about what we can sell for you online!

If you flag a cab - make sure it's a flogit4u cab!
